BIO

Kelli Canady is a life-long maker of things from Columbus Ohio. Her current interest is in creating realistic imagery with oil paints. In the past, Kelli has done extensive explorations in abstract acrylic works, drawing from life, watercolors, fiber arts and loom weaving, sewing and crafting, pottery and carpentry. She takes inspiration from the beauty and wonder of nature, and is an avid gardener and naturophile.

Kelli Canady graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on Painting and Drawing. She has continued to seek out instruction in the years since, taking figure drawing classes at The Columbus College of Arts and Design (CCAD), ceramics at the McConnell Art Center (MAC), individual workshops with local artists, and is currently doing online Atelier classes. Kelli taught Color Theory classes in 2018, and hopes to teach again in the future.
